ConocoPhillips owns or leases various Transportation assets, primarily composed of pipelines, terminals, marine vessels, railcars and trucks.  These assets exist to provide strategic, timely and environmentally safe delivery and storage of crude oil, refined products and natural gas liquids to refineries and to carry refined products to the market.

The Operator may be responsible for:

·         Performing routine pipeline and/or terminal maintenance.

·         Monitoring controls for pipeline delivery and receipts.

·         Ensuring quality and quantity of refined products and/or crude oil.

·         Identifying and resolving scheduling conflicts in a timely manner.

·         Accurately ensuring timely completion of all required paperwork.

·         Staying abreast of changes in operation requirements, policies and processes.

·         Performing operational duties in accordance with the Terminal Operating and Procedures Guide and Local Operating Procedures

Guide.

·         Responding to emergencies and maintaining emergency and measurement equipment.

·         Completing mandated safety and regulatory training (Computer-Based Training).

·         Maintaining effective and professional relationships with customers and responding promptly to their needs

·         A team player with clear written and verbal communication skills.

·         Performing environmental and regulatory checks (eliminating, containing and reporting all product seeps and spills).

·         Assisting with transport driver and new employee training.

·         Maintaining the Loading Rack accounting system data base for customers, carriers, drivers, etc.

·         Monitoring and enforcing all safety rules and regulations.

·         Completing daily, weekly, monthly office inventory reconciliation, additive, agency and other required reports.

·         Occasionally assuming supervisor's responsibilities during absences and assisting with construction/maintenance projects, and

pursuing cost reduction opportunities.

Qualifications

Basic/Required Qualifications

* High school diploma/GED or higher.
* Must be at least 18 years of age.
* Must possess a valid driver's license.
* Legally authorized to work in the United States on a regular full-time basis without restrictions.
* Ability and willingness to perform/comply with following items, with or without assistance:
* Climb various ladders and stairs to operate valves, gauge tanks, or perform maintenance on equipment are a part of this position.  The ladders and stairs typically range from 5 to 40 feet in height.
* Willing  and able to raise and transport articles weighing up to 50 pounds.
* Willing and able to walk, stand, stoop, sit, climb, and carry material on a daily basis on even and uneven terrain.
* Willing and able to work outside in harsh weather conditions.
* Willing to wear personal protective equipment, such as flame retardant clothing, eye protection, ear protection, steel-toed boots, hard hat, etc.
* Willing to work overtime, nights and weekends on an as-needed basis.
* Willing and able  to work alone a high percentage of the time.

Preferred Qualifications

* One or more years experience in the petroleum industry.
* Computer proficient (perform the skill with limited assistance) with Excel, Word and SAP.
* Good judgment and ability to make decisions independently when necessary.
* Ability to comprehend and follow instructions.
* Personal organization and self motivation.
* Ability to produce thorough and accurate paperwork.
* Effective communications (oral and written) and team skills.
* Ability to adjust quickly to unexpected conditions.
* Ability to do Lock Out Tag Out, Hot Work Permits, Excavation Permits, Critical Lifts and Line Locates safely and effectively.
* Safety and environmental alertness and promotes a safe work environment by complying with and enforcing all procedures, rules and regulations.
* People Development: Ability to train others in Operations.
* Knowledge of refined products and/or crude oil quality specifications.
* Ability to interpret and evaluate data and detect problems before they become critical issues.
* Respond to emergencies and participate in Emergency Response Training.
* Mechanical skills: knowledge of mechanical and rotating equipment.

Condition of employment may include:

* Must be able to become Operator Qualified to perform pipeline and/or terminal operations and maintenance checks to most pipeline equipment within six months of employment.
