RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Developing programs to improve the maintainability, operability and running condition of electrical and instrument systems
* Identifying and investigating chronic equipment failures and developing correction action plans
* Developing computer databases, spreadsheets and reports as necessary to track equipment repair histories, analyze information and address nonconformity
* Reviewing and enhancing equipment operations and maintenance procedures
* Providing daily technical support to other departments within the refinery
* Documenting and completing reports for work activities such as failures, repair status, and vendor performance
* Performing equipment failure analysis
* Participating in the development of work scope for electrical and instrument equipment related to turnarounds and capital projects
* Participating in technical networks; developing and implementing best practices
* Planning, organizing and participating in programs that mentor and train new hires and interns
* Provide engineering and/or supervisor assistance to crafts and/or contractors during routine maintenance and turnaround activities
* Effectively manage multiple projects concurrently

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

* Degree: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
* Legally authorized to work in the United States on a regular full-time basis without restrictions
* Must be able to function effectively in a team-based environment and have a high level of safety awareness
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with solid technical skills
* Must have ability to implement and maintain reliability projects for instrument and electrical equipment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* 1-5 years experience in petrochemical industry
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with solid technical skills
* Working knowledge of the design, operation, and maintenance of electrical equipment ranging in voltage levels up to and including 138 kV
