Additionally, ConocoPhillips has major ownership in the BP-operated Prudhoe Bay Unit and owns 28 percent of the Trans-Alaska Pipeline System (TAPS).

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

The LNG Plant Operator position may be responsible for:

* Being an active participant in all safety and environmental processes
* General LNG Facility operations
* LNG Marine, Propane and Ethylene transfer operations
* Maintaining pipeline right of way
* Preparing and safe out equipment for maintenance operations
* Monthly/annual PM's
* Reading, comprehending and reviewing piping & Instrument Diagrams (P&IDs)
* Obtaining qualification to relieve higher classifications
* Participating in emergency response drills, exercises and incidents
* Ship mooring activities
* The annual review of LNG operations procedures (SOP)
* General plant maintenance
* Turnaround SPOC responsibilities
* Aggressively seeking and implementing opportunities to reduce costs and improve reliability of plant operations.

Qualifications

Basic/Required Qualifications

* Authorized to work in the United States
* High School diploma or GED
* Valid drivers license
* Three or more years experience in the petroleum processing industry or production facility experience.
* Willing and able to climb various ladders and stairs to operate valves, gauge tanks, or perform maintenance on equipment are a part of this position. The ladders and stairs range from 5 to 40 feet in height.
* Willing and able to raise and transport articles weighing up to 50 pounds.
* Willing and able to walk, stand, stoop, sit, climb, and carry material on a daily basis on even and uneven terrain.
* Willing and able to work outside in harsh weather conditions.
* Willing and able to work a 4/10 work schedule or 12 hour, week on / week off days to nights schedule.
* Ability to comprehend and follow instructions.

Preferred Qualifications

* Operating experience in plant/processing facilities.
* Operating and/or well service experience with oil and gas producing wells.
* Operating experience in a plant environment.
* Main control room or board operator experience using a Distributive Control System (DCS).
* Associates degree or higher in Process Technology or other technical discipline.
* Computer proficient (able to perform the skill with limited assistance) with Excel, Word, SAP, Outlook.
* Good judgment and ability to make decisions independently when necessary.
* Personal organization and self motivation.
* Effective communications and team skills.
* Demonstrated support of employee-guided safety processes and or emergency service teams.
* Ability to adjust quickly to unplanned situations.

Additional Information

The successful candidate will be required to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) card upon hire.
