Responsibilities
The Application Support Analyst may be responsible for
* Working with business users and functional support on defining and resolving daily issues, systems & data configuration, scoping and developing business process solutions.
* Providing day-to-day 24x7 application support for both in-house developed and vendor packages.
* Debugging and/or optimizing SQL code.
* Responding to user data mining and data maintenance requests.
* Supporting of system interfaces.
* Responding to internal and external audit requirement.
* Participating on project teams to define business requirements and understand the business strategies to ensure proper alignment of IS solutions.
Qualifications
Basic
* Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or Computer Sciences or IT related
* Legally authorized to work in the United States
* Technical expertise with SQL, Unix, Oracle, PowerMart and Business Objects
* Demonstrated experience in supporting vendor applications including interfaces
* Must have 2+ years application programming experience
* Must be able to work with end-users to identify, document and resolve "how to" questions, software issues and enhancements
Preferred
* Technical expertise with SQL, Unix, Oracle, PowerMart and Business Objects
* Experience in Upstream Oil and Gas systems support
* Participation on project teams to deliver project activities/tasks
* Demonstrated experience with support for key technical aspects of the environment with emphasis on interfaces and data warehousing
