Responsibilities:
The Vulnerability Management Specialist will be responsible for:
* Performing penetration tests and vulnerability assessments on ConocoPhillips assets
* Coordinating the work of third parties who are conducting penetration tests and vulnerability assessments
* Recommending technical solutions to address security vulnerabilities
* Preparing remediation options for and monitoring correction of security vulnerabilities
* Analyzing security logs and network traffic to assess and prioritize intrusion attempts, including tuning the rules to eliminate false positives
* Complex analysis of security events from disparate logs, including writing scripts to identify events requiring further analysis
* Translating Company information protection policies and standards into technical implementation guidance
Qualifications
Basic
* Legally authorized to work in the United States.
* Bachelor's degree
* Active U.S. Government SECRET or above security clearance
Preferred
* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related Information Technology Field
* 5 or more years of direct experience in information security in a technical role including
* penetration tests and vulnerability assessments
* intrusion prevention systems
* Forensic analysis
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills
* Good verbal and written communication skills, and demonstrated ability to influence
