Additionally, ConocoPhillips has major ownership in the BP-operated Prudhoe Bay Unit and owns 28 percent of the Trans-Alaska Pipeline System (TAPS).

Responsibilities

The Facility/Drillsite Operator's responsibilities may include:

* The position will be remotely based working a 7 days on, 7 days off or 14 days on, 14 days off schedule.
* Operating oil production and processing equipment in assigned areas in a safe, economic and environmentally sound manner.
* Achieving and maintaining qualifications in multiple operating areas including wells and drillsites, facility processing, and control room board operations areas.
* Aggressively seeking and implementing opportunities to reduce area costs and increase production.
* Prepare and safe out equipment for maintenance operations.
* Participating in facility/drill site modifications and special projects.
* Reading and comprehending P&ID's (Piping & Instrument Diagram's).
* Being an active participant in all safety processes and emergency service/response teams.
* Helping resolve technical problems and safety issues.
* Understanding and applying safety and environmental standards and actively insuring compliance by all personnel working in the assigned areas.

Qualifications

Basic/Required Qualifications

* Authorized to work in the United States
* High School diploma or GED
* Three plus years operations experience in oil and gas production and processing
* Ability to work in a remotely based environment working a 7 days on, 7 days off or 14 days on 14 days off schedule
* Able to communicate effectively both written and verbally
* Valid drivers license

Preferred Qualifications

* Operating experience in plant/processing facilities
* Operating and/or well service experience with oil and gas producing wells
* Operating experience in a plant environment
* Main control room or board operator experience using a Distributive Control System (DCS)
* Experience in a leadership role such as; lead operator, step-up or full time foreman/supervisor or major project startup operator
* North Slope or other Arctic-like experience preferred
* Demonstrated support of employee guided safety processes and/or emergency services teams.
* Must be able to work well in a diverse team environment
* Associates degree (or higher) in Process Technology or other technical discipline
* One year direct experience with reading and comprehending P&ID's (Piping & Instrument Diagram's)
* Basic computer skills, word processing, spreadsheets, email, and/or experience with maintenance management system, such as SAP

Conditions of Employment

* Successful completion of a physical examination, a pre-employment drug screening and a background check.
* Must be able to work in physical exposures that include severe arctic weather, moderate loads and climbing stairs/ladders.
* This position requires personnel to comply with all aspects of a respiratory protection policy.
* This position requires compliance with DOT drug and alcohol testing requirements.
* Must be able to become Process Safety Management certified and maintain those qualifications in multiple operating areas.
