The Maintenance and Reliability Engineer may be responisble for the following:
* Develops, implements, and monitors predictive and preventative maintenance programs for all Refinery rotating equipment systems. * Provides technical support to the Maintenance, Operations and Technical Services departments in order to improve the quality of maintenance repairs, daily equipment operation, engineered modifications, and new equipment installations. * Responsible for analysis of rotating equipment systems condition data to access the operability of critical systems. Initiates and executes programs for improvement based upon this analysis. * Identifies key rotating equipment systems reliability indicators, which are monitored, analyzed and subsequently acted upon in order to increase the on stream efficiency of all rotating equipment systems. * Responsible for administering and updating the Los Angeles Refinery rotating equipment procedures. * Responsible for Refinery coordination of the rotating equipment systems of all large scale engineering projects. Reviews design of proposed facilities (with respect to rotating equipment systems) ensuring compliance with engineering standards while optimizing maintainability and reliability. * Responsible for management reports tracking key process indicators associated with rotating equipment systems. * Responsible for the development of rotating equipment systems related work scope for all maintenance turnarounds. Responsible for coordinating turnaround support to ensure that all required work scope is completed and accurately documented. * Set goals and priorities to obtain department, Refinery and Company goals. * Supports development of rotating equipment budgets. * Leads the continuous improvement of the refinery's Maintenance Planning and Work Execution Processes. * Responsible for the Maintenance Departments metric development and monitoring
Qualifications
Basic / Minimum Qualifications:
* Legally authorized to work in the United States on a regular, full-time basis without restrictions * Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering * Minimum 10 years of maintenance and/or engineering experience, with an emphasis on rotating equipment; or an equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience. * Computer Skills (Word, Excel & PowerPoint) * Advance communications skills both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Minimum of 3 years of rotating equipment supervisor experience * Maintenance Planning and Work Execution experience in SAP * Microsoft Access
