Refinery Overview
The Trainer refinery is located on the Delaware River in Trainer, PA, about 10 miles southwest of the Philadelphia airport. The refinery has a crude oil processing capacity of 185 MBD and processes mainly light, low-sulfur crude oil.:
The Loss Control Coordination is to minimize revenue loss associated with inadequate/incorrect measurement of both feedstock receipts and product shipments. Insure that custody transfer metering systems and cargo measurement procedures are consistent with current industry recommended practices and COP standards.
Primary Functions/Responsibilities & Essential Functions:
· Instructing and monitoring independent inspection companies in order that correct cargo transfer procedures and measurement standards are used.
· Investigating quantity and quality claims on custody transfer movements.
· Investigating measurement and quality issues related to custody transfer movements.
· Conducting periodic audits of Independent Inspection Company facilities and practices to insure compliance with current industry standards and procedures.
· Preparing, issuing and maintaining Loss Control Procedures.
· Ensuring knowledge of loss control techniques is maintained and further enhanced through networking with formal organizations such as the American Society for Testing and Materials, the American Petroleum Institute and the Energy Institute.
· Preparing monthly Loss Control Report to show the value of the function and identify areas for investigation and corrective action.
· Acting Trainer Refinery FTZ Meter Expert, insure that all custody transfer meters are proved/calibrated as required by FTZ regulations.
· Establish end of month tank inventories as the basis for monthly C&Y development.
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
· High School Diploma or equivalent required.
· Advanced degree in a Technical or Business discipline preferred.
· Legally authorized to work in the United States on a regular full-time basis.
Required Skills/Compentencies:
· Working knowledge of marine tanker and terminal operations.
· Comprehensive current knowledge of both laboratory analysis and measurement procedures and techniques to fully evaluate operations carried out at a variety of ship and shore locations.
· Good negotiation and communication skills.
· Strong analytical and computer skills, including very strong skills in MS Excel.
